Stretchable Crochet Top

This project is very exciting. I am making a top in deep red color, perfect for christmas season ;), and it has stretchy texture. I am using simple stitches like single crochet to make this top and it is taking A LOT OF TIME. I started around last week of July and I still haven't finished the front panel. Actually it only really requires two long rectangles but since the stitch is so stretchy it keeps shrinking no matter how many rows i finish. Thank god i started early now maybe i will finish in time for winter season. This is the Inspiration inmage. I love the color and the long slits along the sides but in my actual project i don't think i have made the rectangles long enough because it will expand and become shorter when i wear it. I aslo want something interesting for the back, maybe a deep back or maybe a bow tie. I have already used 200gms of yarn and i will have to restock soon. Let's see how it turns out. Hopefully I will finish it soon.
